Voxy Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use the Voxy mobile app.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Voxy mobile application ("Voxy"). Voxy is provided by OJP Applications Ltd, a company registered in England (company number 12530029), whose website is https://ojpapps.com/. By downloading, installing or using Voxy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Voxy.

  1. Acceptance of these Terms

    By downloading, installing, accessing or using Voxy, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Voxy on behalf of an employer or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

  2. What Voxy does

    Voxy helps you speak, translate and communicate across languages. It captures your speech when you use voice input, converts it to text, translates it into a selected target language and can read translations aloud using text-to-speech. You remain in control of when your voice is captured.

  3. Translations may contain errors

    Translations are not always accurate. Speech recognition and machine translation may produce errors, omissions or inaccuracies. You should always consider the context when relying on a translation, and never rely on Voxy alone for decisions where accuracy matters.

  4. Verify important translations

    You are responsible for checking that translations, and your use of them, are appropriate. Do not rely on Voxy output alone for conversations or decisions that depend on the accuracy of what is said, such as medical, legal or financial matters, or any situation where a misunderstanding could cause harm.

  5. Translations are informational

    Voxy translations are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for a professional or certified translation, and they do not represent legal, financial, medical or professional advice.

  6. No professional advice

    Voxy does not provide legal, financial, medical or professional advice merely by translating speech or text. Any translations are informational tools. For decisions affecting your legal, financial or medical position, you should consult a qualified professional.

  7. Eligibility

    You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter into a binding agreement in your country, to use Voxy. If you are under the age required in your country to consent to the processing of personal data, a parent or guardian should review these Terms and the Privacy Policy with you.

  8. Licence to use Voxy

    Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Voxy on devices you own or control, for your personal (and, where applicable, internal business) communication purposes. The licence does not allow you to redistribute, resell, reverse engineer or copy Voxy other than as permitted by law.

  9. User responsibilities

    You are responsible for what you choose to say, type and translate using Voxy, for keeping your device secure, and for how you use translations you obtain with it. You should not use Voxy to translate or share content you are not entitled to process.

  10. Acceptable use

    You agree not to misuse Voxy, including by attempting to access or disrupt the service, reverse engineering the app, using it for unlawful purposes, or using it in any way that could cause harm or distress to others.

  11. Subscriptions and purchases

    Voxy may be offered on a free basis and as paid subscriptions. Prices for subscriptions are presented in the relevant app store before you purchase. Features, pricing and plans may change from time to time.

  12. Renewals and cancellation

    Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled in accordance with the relevant app store rules. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple or Google account, depending on where you purchased it. Unless you cancel, your subscription will continue until the end of the then-current period.

  13. Apple and Google billing relationship

    Purchases of Voxy made through the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple. Purchases made through Google Play are billed and managed by Google. Their terms, policies and refund rules apply to those purchases, and payment disputes should be directed to the relevant store in the first instance.

  14. Third-party services

    If you use translation, Voxy may send the text you want translated to an external translation service. That service is a third party, and your use of such features is subject to that service's terms and privacy practices in addition to these Terms. We are not responsible for third-party services used to provide translation.

  15. Intellectual property

    Voxy and all content, features and branding in it are owned by OJP Applications Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of Voxy does not give you any ownership in it. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

  16. Availability

    We aim to keep Voxy available and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. Updates may be required, and some features may depend on your device, operating system, network connection and app store.

  17. Disclaimers

    Voxy is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that speech recognition or translation will be accurate, that Voxy will meet your expectations, or that the service will be uninterrupted or secure. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties that cannot be excluded by law.

  18. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, OJP Applications Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Voxy, including reliance on translations. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

  19. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to Voxy if you breach these Terms. You may stop using Voxy at any time by deleting the app. Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

  20. Changes to these Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when they were last changed. Continued use of Voxy after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms, where permitted by law.

  21. Governing law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you may have under the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by law.
