What information WagePilot may process
WagePilot is designed to help you track and estimate your work and pay. Depending on how you use the app, it may process information such as:
- your shifts, including dates, times and hours worked;
- pay rates, employers and jobs that you add;
- earnings calculations, including overtime and premiums;
- notes and preferences you enter;
- payslip images or PDFs that you import, and text extracted from them (for example through OCR);
- pay information contained in those payslips;
- reports you generate from the above.
Most of this information is entered or imported by you. We do not access your bank account, and WagePilot does not connect to your bank.

Why the information is processed
WagePilot processes the information above to provide the features you use, including recording shifts, calculating earnings estimates, detecting potential discrepancies in payslips and generating reports. Any pay or earnings figures shown are estimates provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for your official payslips or employer-provided records.

Local storage and transmission
By default, the information you enter or import into WagePilot is stored locally on your device and stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us simply because you use the app.
Information may be transmitted only in limited circumstances, for example when you enable a feature that relies on an external service. Any transmission depends on the features you have enabled and the services you configure, as described below.

Payslip OCR and AI processing
WagePilot may offer OCR (optical character recognition) or AI-assisted processing to read text from payslip images or PDFs. If a feature you enable uses an external OCR or AI provider, the relevant payslip image or PDF and the information it contains may be sent to that configured provider so it can extract text on our behalf.
This occurs only when such a feature is enabled and a provider is configured. Payslips can contain sensitive information. Before using a feature that transmits payslip content to an external provider, you should be aware that the content is being sent and should avoid doing so if you are not comfortable with it. When such features are used, the external provider's own terms and privacy practices may also apply.
Important: Financial and pay calculations in WagePilot are informational. You should always check your official payslip and payroll records, and verify any calculations before relying on them.

Notifications
WagePilot may offer optional notifications, for example reminders about shifts or reports. Notifications are controlled by you through the app and through your device settings, and you can turn them off at any time.

Permissions used by the app
Depending on the platform and the features you use, WagePilot may request permissions such as:
- access to photos or files, so you can import payslip images or PDFs;
- permission to show notifications, if you enable them.
WagePilot does not access your bank account and does not request banking permissions.

Third-party services
WagePilot is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, whose terms and privacy practices apply to your purchase and account with them. If you enable a feature that uses an external OCR or AI provider, that provider may process payslip content you choose to send, as described above. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention
Information stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it or delete the app. Any information processed by a third-party service you have configured is retained according to that service's terms and our processing instructions, and only for as long as needed to provide the relevant feature.

Security
We take reasonable measures to help protect information processed through WagePilot from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights in relation to personal information, including the right to access, correct or delete information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Deletion
You can delete the information stored by WagePilot at any time through the app, by clearing the app's data on your device, or by deleting the app. You may also ask us to delete personal information we hold about you by contacting hello@ojpapps.com.

Children's privacy
WagePilot is intended for users who are old enough to hold a job and use employment-related software. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through WagePilot, contact us at hello@ojpapps.com and we will take steps to address it.

International processing
If you use WagePilot outside the United Kingdom, and you enable a feature that uses an external OCR or AI provider, information you send may be transmitted to, and processed in, countries other than your own, including the United States. We take reasonable steps to protect information when it is processed by third-party services.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last changed. Continued use of WagePilot after changes are made means you accept the updated policy, where permitted by law.
