OJP PDFPilot Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use the OJP PDFPilot mobile app.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the OJP PDFPilot mobile application ("PDFPilot"). PDFPilot is provided by OJP Applications Ltd, a company registered in England (company number 12530029), whose website is https://ojpapps.com/. By downloading, installing or using PDFPilot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use PDFPilot.

  1. Acceptance of these Terms

    By downloading, installing, accessing or using PDFPilot, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use PDFPilot on behalf of a business, employer or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

  2. What PDFPilot does

    PDFPilot helps you read, edit, annotate, merge, split, compress, organise, sign and share PDF documents, and convert images into PDFs. It does not verify the content of your documents, submit documents on your behalf or provide legal, financial or professional advice. You remain responsible for what you create, edit, sign, save or send.

  3. Check documents before you rely on them

    Always review a document before you rely on it or send it. Editing, annotating, compressing, converting and merging can change how a document looks or how it is interpreted by others. Check every page and detail, and keep the original file as your authoritative version.

  4. You are responsible for your documents

    You are responsible for the documents you open, edit, create and share with PDFPilot, and for ensuring that the result is accurate, complete and suitable for its purpose. Do not rely on PDFPilot alone for documents that have legal, financial or official consequences.

  5. Compression and conversion may alter documents

    Compressing, converting, merging or exporting a document may reduce quality or change formatting. You are responsible for reviewing the output and keeping an unmodified copy of the original where the original matters.

  6. No professional advice

    PDFPilot does not provide legal, financial or professional advice merely by reading, editing or organising documents. Any tools, templates or output are provided for convenience. For decisions affecting your legal or financial position, consult a qualified professional.

  7. Permission to process documents

    You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to open, edit and process any documents you add to PDFPilot, including any personal data of other people contained in those documents. Only add documents you are entitled to process.

  8. Eligibility

    You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter into a binding agreement in your country, to use PDFPilot. If you are under the age required in your country to consent to the processing of personal data, a parent or guardian should review these Terms and the Privacy Policy with you.

  9. Licence to use PDFPilot

    Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use PDFPilot on devices you own or control, for your personal or internal business purposes. The licence does not allow you to redistribute, resell, reverse engineer or copy PDFPilot other than as permitted by law.

  10. User responsibilities

    You are responsible for the documents and information you add to PDFPilot, for keeping your device secure, and for any passwords you apply to documents. You should keep original files as your authoritative records.

  11. Acceptable use

    You agree not to misuse PDFPilot, including by attempting to access or disrupt the service, reverse engineering the app, using it for unlawful purposes, or processing documents you are not entitled to process.

  12. Subscriptions and purchases

    PDFPilot may be offered on a free basis and as paid subscriptions, for example "PDFPilot Pro". Prices for subscriptions are presented in the relevant app store before you purchase. Features, pricing and plans may change from time to time.

  13. Renewals and cancellation

    Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled in accordance with the relevant app store rules. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple or Google account, depending on where you purchased it. Unless you cancel, your subscription will continue until the end of the then-current period.

  14. Apple and Google billing relationship

    Purchases of PDFPilot made through the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple. Purchases made through Google Play are billed and managed by Google. Their terms, policies and refund rules apply to those purchases, and payment disputes should be directed to the relevant store in the first instance.

  15. Third-party services

    If you enable a feature of PDFPilot that uses an external service, such as a cloud storage or OCR or AI provider, that provider is a third party, and your use of such features is subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices in addition to these Terms. We are not responsible for third-party services you configure or enable.

  16. Intellectual property

    PDFPilot and all content, features and branding in it are owned by OJP Applications Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of PDFPilot does not give you any ownership in it. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

  17. Availability

    We aim to keep PDFPilot available and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. Updates may be required, and some features may depend on your device, operating system and app store.

  18. Disclaimers

    PDFPilot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that editing, compression, conversion or sharing will be error-free, that PDFPilot will meet your expectations, or that the service will be uninterrupted or secure. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties that cannot be excluded by law.

  19. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, OJP Applications Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of PDFPilot, including loss of or damage to documents, or reliance on edited, merged, compressed or converted files. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

  20. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to PDFPilot if you breach these Terms. You may stop using PDFPilot at any time by deleting the app. Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

  21. Changes to these Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when they were last changed. Continued use of PDFPilot after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms, where permitted by law.

  22. Governing law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you may have under the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by law.
