OJP MilePilot Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use the OJP MilePilot mobile app.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the OJP MilePilot mobile application ("MilePilot"). MilePilot is provided by OJP Applications Ltd, a company registered in England (company number 12530029), whose website is https://ojpapps.com/. By downloading, installing or using MilePilot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use MilePilot.

  1. Acceptance of these Terms

    By downloading, installing, accessing or using MilePilot, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use MilePilot on behalf of an employer or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

  2. What MilePilot does

    MilePilot helps you record journeys and mileage, track expenses and receipts, and generate mileage and expense reports. It provides calculations and estimates to help you keep your own records.

  3. Mileage and reimbursement estimates are informational

    Mileage calculations and reimbursement estimates are provided for informational purposes only. Statutory tax and mileage rules can vary by jurisdiction and may change over time. You are responsible for checking the rules that apply to you, including any rates, thresholds and record-keeping requirements, before relying on any figure shown by MilePilot.

  4. Not an accountant, tax adviser or tax authority

    MilePilot is not an accountant, a tax adviser or a tax authority. Nothing in MilePilot is professional tax, legal or financial advice. For decisions affecting your tax position or reimbursement claims, you should consult a qualified professional or the relevant tax authority.

  5. GPS and distance accuracy

    Distances and locations calculated by MilePilot depend on GPS, network signals, your platform and device conditions, and may vary or be inaccurate. Do not rely on MilePilot as the sole record where precise distances are required.

  6. Eligibility

    You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter into a binding agreement in your country, to use MilePilot. If you are under the age required in your country to consent to the processing of personal data, a parent or guardian should review these Terms and the Privacy Policy with you.

  7. Licence to use MilePilot

    Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use MilePilot on devices you own or control, for your personal (and, where applicable, internal business) mileage and expense record-keeping purposes. The licence does not allow you to redistribute, resell, reverse engineer or copy MilePilot other than as permitted by law.

  8. User responsibilities

    You are responsible for the information you enter or capture in MilePilot, for keeping your device secure, and for ensuring you have permission to import and process any receipts you add. You should keep your own records as your authoritative source.

  9. Acceptable use

    You agree not to misuse MilePilot, including by attempting to access or disrupt the service, reverse engineering the app, using it for unlawful purposes, or interfering with other users or the operation of the app.

  10. Subscriptions and purchases

    MilePilot may be offered on a free basis and as paid subscriptions, for example "Pro Monthly" and "Pro Annual". Prices for subscriptions are presented in the relevant app store before you purchase. Features, pricing and plans may change from time to time.

  11. Renewals and cancellation

    Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled in accordance with the relevant app store rules. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple or Google account, depending on where you purchased it. Unless you cancel, your subscription will continue until the end of the then-current period.

  12. Apple and Google billing relationship

    Purchases of MilePilot made through the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple. Purchases made through Google Play are billed and managed by Google. Their terms, policies and refund rules apply to those purchases, and payment disputes should be directed to the relevant store in the first instance.

  13. Third-party services

    If you enable a feature of MilePilot that uses an external OCR or AI provider, that provider is a third party, and your use of such features is subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices in addition to these Terms. We are not responsible for third-party services you configure or enable.

  14. Intellectual property

    MilePilot and all content, features and branding in it are owned by OJP Applications Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of MilePilot does not give you any ownership in it. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

  15. Availability

    We aim to keep MilePilot available and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. Updates may be required, and some features may depend on your device, operating system and app store.

  16. Disclaimers

    MilePilot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that mileage or expense figures will be accurate, that MilePilot will meet your expectations, or that the service will be uninterrupted or secure. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties that cannot be excluded by law.

  17. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, OJP Applications Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of MilePilot, including reliance on mileage or expense estimates. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

  18. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to MilePilot if you breach these Terms. You may stop using MilePilot at any time by deleting the app. Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

  19. Changes to these Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when they were last changed. Continued use of MilePilot after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms, where permitted by law.

  20. Governing law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you may have under the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by law.
